Hydrological Cycle – Water is one of the abiotic components that exist on earth and its existence is very important for the life of all creatures that exist.

When associated with humans, water is 80% of the fill in the human body so that humans are required to meet water needs every day.

When associated with other living things such as animals and plants, water still has an important role.

The hydrological cycle has the same meaning as the water cycle because the word hydrology means the same as water, only the difference in vocabulary.

The water cycle is a cycle that occurs in the aquatic environment and this will not stop or continue.

The hydrological cycle is defined as the process of water from the atmosphere to the earth, then water will return to the atmosphere and so on.

The water cycle is one of the biogeochemical cycles that occur on earth with the aim of maintaining the amount or availability of water.

However, if the word hydrology is interpreted in language, it has the meaning of water science that comes from Greek.

So that hydrology has a literal meaning, a branch of geography that studies various things related to water.

Other things discussed in hydrology are related to water movement or in other words called the water cycle.

In addition, hydrology also learns about water quality such as whether or not it is consumed and also studies the distribution of water on earth.

The hydrological cycle has nine stages, namely evaporation as the first stage and then followed by transpiration, evapotranspiration and sublimation and condensation.

Broadly speaking, the process of the hydrological cycle is the first that all water in any part of the earth will evaporate.

All water will evaporate into the atmosphere or more precisely into space and this water will turn into clouds in the sky.

After that, the water that has changed will change again to become a water spot.

The water spots will then be descended to earth in the form of rain can also be in the form of ice and can also snow.

After the rain falls, the water will enter into the gap or pore of the soil with vertical direction or horizontal direction.

The water will then return to the water surface which will continue to flow until it returns to the lake or river.

Evaporation is the first stage in the hydrological cycle where at this stage the water in the river and others evaporates.

Rivers, lakes and seas and other places are considered as bodies of water and the evaporated water will become water vapor.

Water in the entire body of water evaporates because the heat of the sun and its evaporation is called evaporation.
